BON ODORI '08

Back from college...
ahh tsukareta sama desu na~
was yawning the whole day in college...
guess this is what happens when I don't get enough sleep na~

anyways...gotta do some update on Bon Odori nya~
ehehehe...
So here is a littel report on the event...

So the day finally came 12 July...the day I have been waiting for a whole year to come...^^(erm..my grammar kinda off)
But yeah my second time going to Bon Odori and yesh last years mission of bringing along more people was mission accomplished...
We went there in a pretty big group and as expected we kinda got lost a few times...
Last year it was only me and Nat but this time there were ten of us not including the people we meet there...
there was Veron, Nat, Shu, Kin, Wai, Adrian, CJ and my church buddy Joanne...
But going there, we went with Joanne's tuition fren, about another 3 of them?!
and there got the chnace to meet wif Aaron and also Nigel the dudes from the L movie...
though it was already late when we saw them and we kinda like went of to go and dansu...
this time round I kinda missed the drums again...all because I wanted my ice shavings...
Next year...next year I shall not move...
bring food myself...X3
since food there kinda exp...maybe next year have like a little picnic...
make sushi and stuff...
but that might mean I need to drive there...
and once again this year very very keen on wearing a yukata next atleast this time I'm not the only one...
Veron-san is keen too...yatta...
now atleast I have someone to keep reminding me to save save save for it too...
ahhh...really semangat to get one now...hopefully I can get a job end of this year...
anyways enough bragging and on with my thoughts of Bon Odori this time round...
Well overall it was more enjoyable...they say the more the merrier mar...
compared to last year this time round once again there were idiots in cosplay costumes...prancing around proudly summor...
Alot of seafoods, I was wondering where was the big shabu shabu pot so can just boil them all...and alot of gurls in high heels(even if they dunno anything about Bon Odori dun they know basic rule is no heels on fields?!How would they like it if I wear spiked shoes and mess up their garden)...


Felt kinda malu because the friends that I brought along most of them dun have a clue about what Bon Odori(One of my friend thought it was some let's all eat more sushi kinda stuff...==) is but I already brief them bout do(s) and don't(s) (I'm a responsible person) and going there they saw alot of people doing things not supposed to do they keep asking me "hey why the fella..."


The dance was so so this time for me I felt it was worst than last year...
last year almost kena trampled...this year got hit pretty badly, lucky only had shaved ice or sure kena go to the tandas to puke...
people all running...
until Veron-san and I started counting the 8counts out loud...after that the people at out sides more organized abit...
somehow I feel so shameful when the organizers have to announce on PA system to ask people not to run...
I mean like what are we primary students that don't know what it means by the word RESPECT...

Most annoying part were the group of idiots who kept using fan to hit each other...I was happily dancing with friends then they come and destroy my fun...they simply think so fun hit others until my friend kena a few times and didn't want to stay on field anymore...I really felt like taking out the blade in my bag and stab them...
but then it will only look like I was part of the group of idiots...was thinking in my head, If you wanna give each other brain damage dunnit so desperate lar I can call my friend ask his gang go bash u up...
all you have to do is request the part you want broken...
It will be their pleasure good dummies to work on...


Then when I was going back after event while waiting for the guys who went hunting taking pictures with the leng luis in yukata..=_=" I saw the gurl in the pj with her huge teddy bear...the same gurl from last year...so malu when over heard the cute little Japanese gurls chatting about them...

At the KTM station, I saw this lala so when walked passed her I said to my friend"ah some people just don't know how to respect the whole idea of Bon Odori..." the gurl look at me one kind, I guess they are nto so blur afterall..ehehehe...
I missed the train so had to wait..TwT but saw the group of retarded people who kept hitting each other with the fan...damn freaking annoyed and pissed...



hopefully next year won't be as bad as this year...
they should confiscate or not allow those people who dun obey the rulez in...
that way it wouldn't be such a pain in the ass...and it would be less crowded and more enjoyable...
of they could have this giant pot and we could boil them all..alive(sorry I'm kinda sadistic)...ekekeke...


So all ready and pumped up for BOn Odori '09
needs to save for a yukata...nya~
it's kinda funny because one of the reasons I want a yukata is because only one of the dance uses the fan and for the others we don't so like very weird dunno what to do wif fan with yukata can atleast put behind in between the obi...lol

next year's even should be on the 11th of July...
hopefully will be able to bring more people there and must remember to bring own food, a picnic basket would be nice...XD

great to hear...
ah yeah all year round summer...
But technically the Bon Odori in Japan is celebrated in Japan during like 14 July or something, and for us the KL one will be held the Saturday closest to the 14th in this case 12th July...

It's a tad sad it's on November...
this way there is no way I would be able to go for it...X3
Yeah pray that it will be much more enjoyable down in JB...
and if it is hopefully next time round if I'm not bothered by exams I might pop on in...^^

i was frantically excited when you mention the Bon Odori festival. so last Friday, i asked Nishikwa-san from the Japan Club and asked him when will the Bon Odori festival will be held here in JB. he told me in rapid Japanese and Chiba-sensei help me with the translation.

he told me that the Bon Odori festival will be held on November 1st -- and it doesn't called Bon Odori festival but Nichima Fureai festival instead, which means Japan-Malaysia relationship festival.

Nishima-san explained that the Bon Odori festival is a summer celebration and since we're in Malaysia which it's always summer, Bon Odori can be celebrate everyday. that answered why Kuro-chan celebrate it last saturday (12 July) and i'll celebrate it this November.

I asked "Sou desuka?"
Nishikawa-san replied with "Sou!"
I said "Naruhodo!"
Nishikawa-san just smiled at me and suddenly i felt embarassed.

i sighed and told myself but November is too far away... but then i remembered the thought of making myself a yukata. i think i would have enough time to make myself one and learn how to sew at the same time. but it would be a miracle if i can finish it tho.

talking about miracle, i wrote a wish on a piece of paper and hang it on a branch of a bamboo tree during Tanabata day on 7 July. all my classmate did. and now i'm gonna add an additional wish: i wish the Bon Odori festival this coming November wouldn't be as chaotic as Kuro-chan's. i wish i could wear a yukata to that festival and i wish all my classmate will come to. Singyou-kun seems interested. he used to go when he was small. Idris-san want to eat sushi so badly and Chiba-sensei is very outgoing, and Nishikawa-san said we could participate.
