Nobody likes dieting, because dieting means a change from the normal routines that are comfortable to us. It means a change in food and a change in lifestyle, and is not pleasant at first. The trick to dieting is finding a way to make healthier choices and cut down on fat and calories in your diet with as little suffering as possible. Even though more extreme versions of dieting will have you exercising five hours a day and living off of a few carrot sticks, it is simply not something that can be maintained regardless of if you drop weight in the short term. Dieting which will have you lose a lot of weight very quickly is rarely healthy and the weight never stays off because sooner or later you will become completely fed up with the diet and simply go back to your old way of life. Effective dieting means permanent changes, even after you have reached your target weight. If these changes are going to be permanent they obviously have to be changes you can live with. Even still, dieting is going to be hard, but Hoodia can make it easier. This all natural appetite suppressant works effectively and has no side effects. While dieting Hoodia will help you resist the sudden urges to over eat, and generally make your day to day meals smaller.
While there are many sites offering extracts of the Hoodia plant in liquid and supplement form, it is important to look into these products before buying any of them. There are multiple reasons for this. The first is there are many variations of the Hoodia plant which occur in nature, but only Hoodia Gordonii will have any appetite suppressing effects. Because they can produce it for a fraction of the price and still call it Hoodia plant. There is a way to be sure you are getting the right Hoodia plant, other than looking for the word Gordonii. You see, the only company with the legal right to grow and harvest the Hoodia plant for weight loss purposes is called Phytopharm, and the only place they are doing so is South Africa. All Hoodia plant exported from South Africa requires a CITES certificate (this is a measure to help ensure that Hoodia plant being exported was grown on a farm and not taken from the wild because it is a protected species). Therefore any company offering the Hoodia plant in a capsule or liquid should be able to show you their CITES certificate. A CITES certificate is not just a way to know you are getting genuine Hoodia, but also protects the environment and ensures that the impoverished Sans Bushmen who were the first to discover the Hoodia plant are getting their well deserved royalties from its sale.
Diet drugs can help you lose weight, but there are some you should think carefully about and some diet drugs you should avoid completely. The diet drugs I would tell you to think carefully about are fat blockers like Orlistat (Alli) and others. The side effects from these are generally mild and limited to things to do with gastrointestinal tract. The downside of these diet drugs is that they do not seem to be particularly effective for weight loss. Clinical studies done on the fat blocker group of diet drugs showed that the groups which took placebos lost on average the same amount of weight as those who took the fat blockers. Thermogenic and appetite suppressant diet drugs should always be avoided because of the negative health effects. Thermogenic diet drugs work by increasing body temperature so that calories are burnt off as heat rather than stored as fat; but this commonly results in fatally high fevers or serious injury. Most thermogenic diet drugs have been banned. While an appetite suppressant in it of itself is not a bad idea, most of the pharmaceutical diet drugs of this type have more nagtive effects than positive ones. We all need help with our diet now and again but amphetamines like Phentermine have been shown to cause heart attack, stroke, hypertension, overdose and are extremely addictive. Rather than using these types of diet drugs, a natural appetite suppressant like Hoodia is far more recommended. Hoodia has no negative side effects and is not a stimulant. Hoodia will not have drug interactions like diet drugs do and it still suppresses appetite effectively.
